Welcome to Ceramics 1!

This course is an introduction to the materials, techniques, design and equipment of hand-built ceramic art. In addition, during Ceramics 1, we will learn the process of throwing clay on a potter’s wheel. Emphasis will be on development of basic skills, creativity, craftsmanship, aesthetics, and using clay as a medium of personal expression. Responsibility and decision-making will be stressed.
